Terms of use

Getref ("Getref", "we", "us") is an information service. We compare the trading fees, fee rebates, welcome bonuses and referral codes of crypto exchanges, explain how they work, link to the exchanges and reward new exchange accounts opened through Getref with points.

• Getref is not an exchange, broker, wallet, payment service or investment adviser. We do not accept deposits, hold or move your funds, execute trades or have access to your exchange accounts.
• Nothing on Getref is financial, investment, legal or tax advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset or to use any exchange. Decide for yourself and, where needed, consult a qualified adviser.
• Rebates and bonuses are provided by the exchanges, under their own partner and promotion terms — not by Getref. Getref is not a party to your agreement with an exchange and cannot guarantee that an exchange pays a rebate or bonus, keeps its terms or serves your country.
• We will never ask for your exchange password, 2FA codes, private keys, seed phrases or identity documents. Anyone who does on our behalf is not Getref.

Crypto assets are highly volatile, and trading them — especially with leverage, futures or other derivatives — can lose you all the money you put in, and with derivatives more. Exchanges can suspend services, change fees, freeze accounts or fail. Only trade what you can afford to lose.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for making sure that using crypto exchanges and the services linked from Getref is legal where you live; exchanges set their own country restrictions and eligibility rules, and some offers or tasks are not available in every country. Do not use Getref to get around such restrictions.

We check exchange terms against the exchanges' own pages and show each number with its source and the date of the check (see the methodology). Exchanges change their terms without telling us, so information on Getref can be out of date or incomplete. Calculator results are estimates based on the numbers you enter. Always check the current terms on the exchange's website before you open an account or trade — the exchange's own terms prevail.

Many links to exchanges on Getref are partner (affiliate) links. When you open an account through them, the exchange may pay Getref a commission; this does not increase your fees or change your terms. How we choose and order exchanges is described in the methodology and About Getref.

You sign in with your e-mail address and a one-time code. You agree to use an e-mail address you control, to keep access to it secure and to keep one Getref account per person. You are responsible for activity in your account. You can stop using Getref at any time and ask us to delete your data from your profile.

Points are governed by the Getref Rewards rules, which are part of these terms. In short: points are Getref's own loyalty reward; they are not money, a financial instrument or a crypto asset, have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, sold or transferred and do not belong to you as property. We credit points only after a sign-up is verified and may reverse points that were credited by mistake or in breach of the rules. We may change or close the programme; we will announce material changes and any closure on the website at least 30 days in advance, except where an immediate change is needed to stop abuse or comply with the law.

You must not:

• create more than one account, use another person's identity or e-mail address, or invite yourself;
• submit a UID that is not yours or an exchange account that was not opened through Getref under the rules;
• use bots, scripts, emulators or other automated means to sign up, complete tasks or collect points, or try to get around our anti-abuse checks (including Turnstile);
• scrape or copy the website in bulk, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission or interfere with its operation;
• use Getref for anything unlawful, including fraud and money laundering, or to mislead other users;
• impersonate Getref or post our content in a way that suggests our endorsement.

If we reasonably believe you have broken these terms or the Rewards rules, or that your account is being used for abuse, we may refuse or cancel task approvals and points, hold referral bonuses, freeze or close the account and refuse new sign-ins — where possible we show the reason. You can ask for a person to review the decision through the Contact channels. We may also suspend parts of the service for maintenance, security or legal reasons, or stop operating it.

The website, its texts, design, calculator and software belong to Getref or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use and quote short extracts with a link to the source. Exchange names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the exchanges; their use does not imply endorsement.

Links take you to exchanges and other websites that we do not control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there, and we are not responsible for their content, services, availability or actions, including decisions on your exchange account, rebates and bonuses.

Getref is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we give no warranties that the service is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for: trading or investment losses; acts, omissions or failure of exchanges and other third parties, including unpaid rebates or bonuses; decisions you make based on information on Getref; loss of points; or indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. To the extent our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to USD 100 in total. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or wilful misconduct, or your rights under mandatory consumer-protection law.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Getref for claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of the service or violation of the law or of the rights of others.

We may change these terms. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page; material changes will be announced on the website in advance. If you keep using Getref after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, stop using Getref and, if you wish, ask us to delete your data.

These terms, the Getref Rewards rules and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Getref about the service. If any provision is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a new operator of the service; you may not transfer yours. Before going to court, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue informally. These terms do not take away any rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
