Binance Referral Code: What It Gives and How to Use It

A Binance referral code ties your new account to an inviter and can lower your trading costs through a fee rebate, but the exact share is set by the code's settings, not by you. The Getref catalog lists code GETREF. Enter it at sign-up, then check the first fees you pay against the headline rate.

What does a Binance referral code give you?

A referral code links your new account to the person or site that invited you. What you receive depends on which of Binance's two referral programs the code runs under. Binance describes them in its introduction to the Referral Program and in the Referral Pro mode FAQ.

A fee rebate is a return of part of your trading fees, so it lowers your costs. Our short explainer on what a fee rebate is covers the basics.

Getref's catalog lists a sign-up bonus of up to up to 19,800 USDTverified Oct 10. That is a maximum, not a payout everyone gets. Which deposit or trading steps are required, by what date, and for whom, is decided on Binance's current promotion page. The sources linked here do not state this amount: neither the introduction to the Referral Program nor the Referral Pro mode FAQ mentions it. The time-limited referral promotion in Binance's announcement is marked as expired, so it is not a current offer.

A bonus is not part of the effective fee. The effective fee is the trading fee after any rebate, so judge the rebate by the fee you are actually charged, and the bonus by its own conditions.

Getref may earn a commission from Binance if you open an account through its links. This does not change your terms: Binance calculates and pays any rebate or bonus, and Getref pays only its own points (Getref Rewards).

How do you enter a Binance referral code at sign-up?

Use the sign-up page on binance.com and look for the referral or invite code field. The screens change over time, so follow what Binance shows rather than a fixed screenshot.

  1. Open the Binance sign-up page through a partner link, or go to binance.com and start a new registration.
  2. Enter your email or phone number and a password.
  3. Find the optional referral code field and type GETREF. If you arrived through a partner link the field may already be filled in, but the pages linked here do not confirm that, so check it yourself.
  4. Confirm the code shows in the field before you submit the form.
  5. Finish email or phone verification and turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).
  6. Complete identity verification (KYC) if Binance asks for it, and read the conditions of any bonus before you deposit.

The most common mistake is skipping the field because it looks optional. Check the field before you submit. If you want Getref points as well, the tasks page explains the steps; Getref asks only for your UID, the account number Binance shows you.

Who decides how much of the rebate you get?

In Referral Pro mode, the inviter chooses how the commission is split between the inviter and the invitee, inside the limits Binance sets. So the share you receive follows the code's settings. To see which split a code offers, ask the person who gave it to you, and look at what the sign-up screen shows once the code is entered. The rebate figure in Getref's catalog is 20%verified Oct 12, and it reflects the offer the catalog lists, not necessarily what every invitee gets. Binance's Referral Pro mode FAQ describes it as the total Referral Pro rate, not a fixed invitee share.

The fee table shows the effective fee, meaning the fee after the rebate. Maker orders add liquidity to the order book; taker orders fill at once. The maker vs taker guide shows which one you pay.

Rebates can come with a cap and a time limit. The rebate cap in Getref's catalog reads: to be confirmed. The rebate period in the catalog reads: to be confirmed. For futures, the catalog's maker fee reads to be confirmed and the taker fee reads to be confirmed, and Binance describes the futures rebate as time-limited. Try your own volume in the calculator:

What if you forgot to enter the code?

The Binance pages linked here do not say whether a code can be added after registration. Some third-party sites say it cannot, but that is not an official statement, so treat both answers as unconfirmed.

If you already have an account, ask Binance support directly whether a code can still be linked, and what they need from you. Ask Binance support to confirm the code is linked before you count on a rebate.

How do you check that the rebate actually arrives?

Getref cannot see your Binance account or your trades. Its partner cabinet only shows that an account was opened through its link. So you need to check it yourself:

  1. Make one small spot trade with a limit or market order.
  2. Open the trade history and note the fee Binance charged.
  3. Compare it with the headline rate in the table above, keeping in mind your VIP tier and fee-payment settings in your Binance account.
  4. Look in the referral or rewards area of your account for a voucher or a rebate record.
  5. If nothing appears after the period Binance states, contact Binance support with your UID and the code you entered.

The payout timing Binance gives to inviters is not the same as your own rebate timing, and the pages linked here state no invitee payout time. Binance calculates and pays the rebate, so Binance support is the right place for questions. Our methodology page explains how Getref checks and dates its numbers.

Is the code available in your country?

Binance does not offer every product in every country, and referral programs can be restricted too. Binance publishes its own availability information, so check the Binance referral page and the country notes on binance.com before you register. Getref does not guess at country lists. Open the sign-up page from your own location and see what it allows. If the site says your region is restricted, respect that rather than looking for a way around it.

Who should use it, and who should look at other exchanges?

The code suits you if you were going to open a Binance account anyway, trade spot or futures often enough that fees matter, and are happy to read the current terms. The saving scales with your volume, and it is small if you trade rarely.

Look elsewhere if you need an exchange not available in your country, if the rebate period or cap in the table does not fit how you trade, or if another exchange lists lower effective fees for your pattern. Another exchange can be the better fit on exactly those points: lower fees for the way you trade, or availability where Binance is restricted. The full comparison list shows the pairs Getref covers. You can start with Binance vs Bybit. The Binance exchange page gathers the catalog data in one place.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Binance referral code case-sensitive?

The Binance pages linked in this guide do not say. Type the code exactly as shown, check that it appears in the field, and ask Binance support if it is rejected.

Can one account use more than one invite code?

The Binance pages linked in this guide do not confirm this. Assume you get one chance at sign-up and ask Binance support if you are unsure.

Is a Binance referral code a sign-up bonus or a fee discount?

It is mainly a fee rebate: a return of part of your trading fees, either as a one-time voucher or as a commission share, depending on the program. Any sign-up bonus is a separate offer, always up to a maximum amount and with its own conditions.

Do I need KYC to get the rebate or bonus?

Binance may ask for identity verification (KYC), and bonus conditions often include deposit or trading steps. Read the current terms on Binance's page, because the exact requirements are not confirmed here.

Does the Binance rebate last forever?

Do not count on it. Binance describes the futures rebate as time-limited. Getref's catalog entry for the rebate period reads: to be confirmed, and its entry for the cap reads: to be confirmed. Confirm both on Binance's current page.

Does the code cost anything or change my trading fees upward?

Nothing on Binance's pages suggests the code adds a cost. Your fees follow Binance's fee schedule, and the rebate, where it applies, returns part of them. Compare the fee you are charged on a small trade with the headline rate.
