KuCoin Sign Up Bonus: Real Conditions, Fees and Rebate
The KuCoin sign-up bonus is up to up to 10,650 USDTverified Oct 11, paid by KuCoin in tiers and only if you meet its conditions, such as deposit, trading volume and KYC. Separately, accounts opened with code GETREF get a fee rebate share of 60%verified Oct 2 on spot trading. The headline is a ceiling, not a payout.

How big is the KuCoin sign-up bonus, really?
The checked ceiling is up to up to 10,650 USDTverified Oct 11. "Up to" is the important part: that amount is the top of a conditional offer, not what a typical new account receives. KuCoin pays it, not Getref, and only after you complete the tasks it sets.
You will see other amounts on other sites, some far lower and some higher. Getref does not repeat them. Those figures may come from older campaigns, other regions, or a different bonus type, and Getref could not tie them to current official terms. If a page shows one big number with no deposit, volume or deadline next to it, treat it as a headline only.
Here is what Getref can and cannot state today:
| Item | What the page can state |
|---|---|
| Bonus ceiling | Up to up to 10,650 USDTverified Oct 11 |
| Share of trading fees returned (rebate) | 60%verified Oct 2 |
| Rebate cap | to be confirmed |
| Rebate period | to be confirmed |
| Spot maker fee at VIP 0verified Oct 11 | 0.1%verified Oct 11 |
| Spot taker fee at VIP 0verified Oct 11 | 0.1%verified Oct 11 |
| Futures maker fee | to be confirmed |
| Futures taker fee | to be confirmed |
Anything that reads "to be confirmed" is a number Getref has not checked against a KuCoin page yet. It is left open on purpose instead of guessed. See how Getref checks and dates its numbers.
What do you have to deposit and trade to get the bonus?
This is where the headline and the reality split. A tiered bonus normally ties each step to a deposit, a trading volume, identity verification (KYC) and a deadline. The exact tiers are set by KuCoin and can change.
Getref could not confirm the current tier table, the deadlines, or the bonus type (cash, voucher, futures bonus or coupon) on KuCoin's official pages. Third-party tier tables exist, but they are not official terms, so this guide does not quote them. Read the conditions on KuCoin's official registration page before you deposit anything.
Before you fund the account, find answers to these questions on KuCoin's own page:
- Deposit: what minimum counts for each tier, and in which coins?
- Trading volume: how much is required, and do spot and futures both count?
- KYC: is identity verification required before the bonus unlocks?
- Deadline: how many days from sign-up do you have to finish each task?
- Eligibility: which countries and which existing users are excluded?
- Form of payout: can the reward be withdrawn, or only used for fees or contracts?
If you cannot find a clear answer to one of these, that is a reason to wait, not to deposit more. For how the three kinds of rewards differ, read rebate vs cashback vs welcome bonus.
Do you need a referral code, and what if you forgot it?
The fee rebate is tied to the referral code (GETREF) or to a referral link that carries it. In general, a code can be entered only while registering and usually cannot be added later. The welcome bonus may have its own rules, so check whether it depends on the code too.
- Open the registration page through a link that carries the code, or choose the registration form on KuCoin.
- Enter your email or phone number and set a password.
- Find the invite or referral code field and check that it shows GETREF before you submit.
- Finish registration, turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) and complete KYC if the tasks for the bonus of up to up to 10,650 USDTverified Oct 11 require it.
- Submit your UID to Getref if you want Getref Rewards points (see below).
If you already registered without the code, do not open a second account to fix it. Duplicate accounts can break an exchange's rules. Contact KuCoin support and read what to do if you forgot the referral code. Getref lists the recovery period for a missed code as to be confirmed, so confirm it with KuCoin before relying on it.
For the code itself, see the KuCoin referral code guide.
What is the effective fee after the rebate?
The effective fee is what you pay after the exchange returns its share. On spot at VIP 0verified Oct 11, the standard maker fee is 0.1%verified Oct 11 and the taker fee is 0.1%verified Oct 11. The rebate share of 60%verified Oct 2 applies to the fee you pay, so it lowers a cost you already have.

One limit to keep in mind: the rebate figures above are for spot. The futures fees are still to be confirmed (maker) and to be confirmed (taker), and Getref does not claim that the rebate covers futures. For the method, see how to calculate trading fee savings and what a fee rebate is.
Is the KuCoin bonus available in your country?
Getref could not confirm a current country list for this bonus, and it will not guess. Availability can differ between the exchange itself, the bonus, and the referral rebate. A country may be able to register but be excluded from a campaign.
Check the restrictions on KuCoin's official site and in its terms of service before you start. If your country or your KYC status is excluded, do not try to get around it: the bonus would not be paid, and the account could be restricted.
How do you check that the rebate arrived?
The exchange calculates and pays the rebate. Getref does not see it, does not see your trades, and has no access to your KuCoin account. The only thing Getref's partner cabinet shows is that an account was opened through Getref's link, and Getref asks only for your UID.
So the check is yours to do on KuCoin:
- Make a few small trades after registering and note the fee shown on each one.
- Open your fee and rebate or commission records in the KuCoin account and look for the returned share.
- Compare the returned amount with the fee you paid and with the rebate share in the table above.
- If nothing appears after the period KuCoin states, contact KuCoin support with your UID and registration date.
Getref Rewards points are separate. They are Getref's own reward for a new account opened through its links, never money and never a KuCoin payment. You can submit your UID on the tasks page. Getref's own review time for such submissions is 48 hours.
Rebate, cashback or bonus: who is KuCoin's offer for?
These three are different. A rebate is a share of trading fees returned over time. A cashback is a return on spending, and a welcome bonus is a one-off reward with tasks. KuCoin's offer here combines a rebate with a conditional bonus, so it pays off only if you actually trade.
It may suit you if you plan regular spot trading, you will complete KYC anyway, and you can meet the bonus tasks without trading more than you planned. Look elsewhere if you only want to hold coins, you trade mostly futures (where the fees are not yet confirmed here), you are in a country the offer excludes, or you would have to deposit or trade extra just to chase the bonus.
Getref may earn a commission from KuCoin when you open an account through its partner links, and this does not change your terms. KuCoin sets and pays the rebate and the bonus. Getref pays only its own points.
To see where another exchange can be a better fit, compare KuCoin with Bybit or KuCoin with Binance. Details on the exchange itself are on the KuCoin page.

Is the KuCoin sign-up bonus paid in cash?
Getref could not confirm the bonus type on KuCoin's official pages. It may be a voucher, a coupon or a futures bonus, so check whether it can be withdrawn before you rely on it.
Why do other sites show different KuCoin bonus amounts?
Third-party sites often copy older campaigns, quote different tiers or regions, or show a top-tier maximum. Only the up-to amount and conditions on KuCoin's own page count.
Can I add an invite code after I have registered?
Generally no. Referral codes are usually entered only at sign-up, so check the code field before you submit and contact KuCoin support if you missed it.
Does the fee discount also apply to futures?
Getref does not claim that it does. The rebate figures in this guide are for spot, and the futures fees are not yet confirmed here.
Can existing KuCoin users claim the welcome bonus?
Welcome bonuses are normally meant for new accounts, and a code usually cannot be added to an existing one. Check KuCoin's terms for who is excluded, and do not open a duplicate account.
